Molly “Ella”

Our beautiful, calm, dutiful Molly “Ella” came to us from such a wonderful kind and beautiful family, who wanted her so badly but were really struggling with her. They had a new baby and Molly (or “Ella” in her past life) had developed separation anxiety! Typical of her breed, (Great Pyrenees mixed with Saint Bernard) dutiful MollyElla wanted to guard her people all the time, and was hurting herself, as well as destroying the house, and escaping the yard, trying to get back to them while they both worked every day. We met the family and fell in love with this girl! Since 5 of the 6 of us stay at home, we knew we could work through the separation anxiety with minimal damage to the house or herself until she gained some self-confidence. We are so happy to report that MollyElla can now be trusted inside and outside, for a day or the whole weekend, without stressing out or hurting herself. We regularly send pictures to her past family and while they were so sad to lose her, they are happy that we found her. So, it’s a win/win! MollyElla is now four years old, she is the “farm hand,” the true boss, guardian of the homestead, greeter of the mailman, and favorite to everyone who comes over. Molly is calm, stable, gentle, lazy, beautiful, and perfect in every way! My middle daughter tells everyone that MollyElla is her favorite. If you get a chance to meet “the middle,” you will really laugh at this claim that she has laid out to the world! We are all so happy with MollyElla in our family, she’s the perfect pet and wonderful companion. Just in case you were wondering, Molly is spayed and will never be a mother to any of our litters, we just felt that she should be included as an honorary member of this list as she was our first Great Pyrenees mix that made us fall in love with the calmer dogs of farm life.
